AYSO In The Community

Project S5
Fundacion Agustin Delgado http://www.tindelgado.com is a Foundation established by a professional soccer player in “El Juncal” a small town in Ecuador. The main focus is to develop young children's innate physical conditions to practice sports, especially soccer.

El Juncal is located in the Chota Valley a beautiful geography but
underprivileged area. Tin Delgado’s dream is to provide adequate
infrastructure so children learn and practice soccer. By achieving
skilled players that later play soccer professionally providing
resources for their families and their town.

Currently the Foundation has minimal infrastructure (soccer fields,
and pavilion) and limited uniforms and accessories needed for the
practice. In the majority of cases children play bare footed and
uniforms are nonexistent.

After reading an article about the goals of “El Tin” I contacted the Foundation and they agree to be assisted with gear that I can collect through AYSO644. The goal is to collect shin-guards, shorts, shirts and shoes (cleats) that AYSO members have acquired and have no further use for it. Once we have achieved a good number of gear send it to Ecuador through the help of private companies and Ecuador’s Government.

In fact, I have already started collecting gear and have so far: 27 uniforms and 12 cleats in great condition that can be of great use for the little soccer players in training. I have called my project S5 (shin-guards, shorts, shirts, socks and shoes). I dream of being able to get this project going and growing to help as many kids as we all can at AYSO644.

Collections will take place during AYSO Fall season during Saturday games.
Collection boxes will be available by the pavilion by field #4.

Thank you for your assistance and for making a difference.
